The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia in Washington, D.C.

H.E Ali Sharif Ahmed

With the renewed presence of the Embassy in Washington, D.C., it gives me great pleasure to announce Somalia’s partnership with the United States and to present Somalia’s numerous developments and ongoing progress. Over 250,000 Somalis now call the United States their home. Most of these are individuals who sought refuge or who looked to reunite with family in the United States during the Civil War in Somalia. These Somalis are now productive members of society within the United States.
